Filthy Rich - Gemini (edit) by ControlFreqRecords

Filthy Rich - Scorpio (Edit) by ControlFreqRecords

.............................

PRESS RELEASE:

Release number 21 on Control Freq comes courtosy of label head honcho Filthy Rich. It’s been one hell of a year (again) for Rich. The list of labels he’s released on this year alone includes Stealth, CR2, Toolroom’s ‘Leaders of The New School’, Floorplay, Big Love, Nervous, Audio Damage, BDR, and Dutch imprint Spinnin. Filthy Rich also held the topspot in the DJ Download and Trackitdown charts for several weeks in October with his version of the classic ‘Music Is Moving’ on Big In Ibiza.

The Zodiac EP takes us into serious main room tech house territory.

Up first is Gemini, which is the more heads down of the pair, with driving bassline, crisp claps and skippy synth stabs. Scorpio is a true barnstormer of a track…The killer breakdowns give way to a pure driving groove.

This ep is going to be blowing the roof off of many a club this spring!!

► PRESS RELEASE:

Release number 20 on Control Freq Records is a true hands in the air affair from Brighton boys M-Tek & Tim Priestley, with its uplifting synth line and techy beats.

M-Tek is the ‘techier’ alias for Brighton’s super producers ‘My Digital Enemy’, who under various alias’s over the years have had some seriously huge hits! As MDE they’ve gained huge support from the cream of dance music, including Roger Sanchez, Sasha, Eric Morillo, Carl Cox, Chris Lake and Judge Jules. Recent collaborations with Carl Hanagan, Prok & Fitch and Rob Marmot have resulted in releases on Spinnin, CR2 and Floorplay.

Honeyclub and Digital Brighton favourite Tim Priestley is fast developing a great list of productions to his name. Recent remixes for Noir and Control Freq, along with the acclaimed remix of MDE 'Sunrise' adds further credibility to Tims work.

Dutch duo Disfunktion add their own twist to Stalker, giving it more of a main room flavour, making full use of the main synth line and giving the whole track more pace. Disfunktion has recently remixed the likes of Oliver Twizt, Prok & Fitch, Kid Massive, Muzikjunki and Peter Gelderblom. Their releases have found their way to labels like Spinnin' Records, Sneakerz Muzik and Kid Massive's Audio Damage. As DJ’s, their sets are always filled with fresh house music, exclusive bootlegs and killer Disfunktion productions. These guys will give any dancefloor a fuel-injection!

This is big room action all the way, hope you enjoy!

PRESS RELEASE:

With tracks and remixes released by: Ministry of Sound, Toolroom Records, Stealth Records, Catch 22, Nervous records, Floorplay Music, Ultra Records, Spinnin' records, Sneakerz Muzik and many more, Benny Royal is fast becoming one of The Netherlands fastest rising names in House Music!

Control Freq are proud and excited to present his newest EP, comprising of 3 barnstorming tracks that will be blowing roofs off of clubs the world over!!

The title track, ‘It’s a Jungle’ is a very dutch sounding house record with skippy beats & synth stabs. ‘Tripping’ takes things very much more into the techno arena with driving bassline, big snares and lots of bleeps. ‘Hold Me’ is a cool house groover, but still with plenty of pace and those skippy beats again.

We’re expecting big things from this release, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

PRESS RELEASE:

Filthy Rich's Control Freq Records goes from strength to strength, gaining big support from some of house music’s biggest heavy weights. The past few releases alone have been supported by Funkagenda, Axwell, Prok & Fitch, DJ Disciple, Roog and many many more.

Release number 18 is from a trio of well known producers, who under the pseudonym of Trident, add an air of mystery to the proceedings!

Remixes come from 3 sets of producers who’ve all been right on the money recently…

Hot on the heals of their huge Savannah/Musica EP here on Control Freq are midlands duo Dirty Secretz, who increase the pressure with this mix of Squeeze! They bring a big room sound with huge build ups and drops. Dirty Secretz pairing of J Luv and Richie have been making some huge waves recently with the production and DJ sets around Europe.

M-Tek is the techy alias for Brighton’s super producers ‘My Digital Enemy’, who under various alias’s over the years have had some huge hits! As MDE they’ve gained huge support from the cream of dance music for their original productions and remixes. Honeyclub and Digital Brighton favourite Tim Priestley joins the guys after his great work on remix duty for Noir Music, to bring us a slightly techier interpretation of Squeeze.

Last, but by no means least we have a nice and deep remix from Lojak, the midlands based DJ/Producers and bosses of rising house label BDR Music. With a string of originals and remixes signed to labels such as Little Mountain, Housesession Records, Adapt Recordings, Audiodamage Records, Moneypennys Music and their own BDR Music label, the guys are quickly building a name for themselves across Europe as quality up and coming house producers.

► PRESS RELEASE:

Their second full release on Filthy Rich's 'Control Freq Records' is a great 2 track EP from Midlands DJ / Production duo (J Luv and Richie P).

J Luv has been slowly building her reputation on the club scene over the last 10 years and is regarded as being one of the best female DJs in the midlands. Richie's background is rooted in production where he has spent time refining his skills in the studio and taking his productions to his DJ sets. Together, their strengths and styles compliment each other and have fused to create the unique Dirty Secretz sound.

This pairing are having one hell of a year. Demand for their production skills and DJ sets has been gaining some serious pace. Highlights so far have included Dave Spoon supporting their remix of Filthy Rich’s ‘Dirty Freak 09’ on his Radio 1 show and their own fresh (unofficial) takes on classic tracks like Civilles & Cole ‘Deeper Love’, Robin S ‘Show me love’, Candi Staton ‘You got the love’ & Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ destroying dancefloor across Europe this summer! With recent releases/remixes on Spinnin, Muzik-K, Baccara & their storming remixes for Control Freq, Dirty Secretz are not much of a secret these days!

This EP is a little deeper than their previous offerings, but by no means less effective on the dancefloor!

.............................

► PRESS RELEASE:

Release number 16 from Filthy Rich's 'Control Freq Records' is a gorgeous 2 track EP from Doncaster lad Adam Sharpe.

Adam's residency at the 'Doncaster Warehouse' has seen him regularly playing alongside DJ heavyweights such as Mark Trophy, Micky Slim, Funkagenda, Bodyrox, Sandy Rivera, Chris Lake, Mark Knight, Sebastien Leger, and many more. This has obviously assisted in shaping his sound, and seen him sporting recent releases on labels such as Pop Pop, Vacation, D'amour & Groove Digital as well as his great remix for James Fitch's 'Robotronic' on Control Freq Records at the tail end of last year.

First up is 'Sunrise' with its crunchy tribal house beat, swirling synth line and killer breakdowns. When this kicks back in, you know everyone's hands will be in the air. A dancefloor destroyer of epic proportions!

'Sunset' is the 2nd track on the EP, but by no means a b-side. This driving techy number is one to get lost to on the dancefloor with its hypnotic groove and uplifting synths.

Definitely a package that marks the sound of the summer....expect to be seeing a lot more of Adam Sharpe in 2009 and beyond!

► PRESS RELEASE:

Next up on Control Freq Records is release number 15. We’re proud to announce a single track release from regular cohorts of Control Freq Records Boss Filthy Rich… two of the most prolific house producers of the moment, those cheeky chappies from Brighton, the one and only Prok & Fitch!

Over the past 2 years the pair have been gaining amazing support from figures such as Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, Mark Knight, Fedde Le Grand, Chris Lake & Funkagenda, to name just a few, so we’re very happy that their new single is to be coming out on CFQ.

Unleashed is of the usual Prok & Fitch calibre, a beast of a track in their trademark bumpy house style. Crunchy beats and skippy percussion combine with a simple but very effective synth hook. These coupled with a trippy breakdown and a killer build up, make this is one track that won’t leave people standing around the edge of a dancefloor!

A remix package will be out later in the year, so just watch this space…

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

► PRESS RELEASE:

After the huge success of the Natay EP, Filthy Rich’s Control Freq Records bring in some friends to give us their unique interpretations of the title track.

First up is the musical genius that is old timer Ingo Staar. This man of many talents and production guru has been working on tracks with many of the top house producers in the UK and has been gaining support from the likes of house heavyweights Fedde le Grand and D Ramirez. His attention to detail and ability to nail main-room sounds is sure to elevate Natay to its full potential and produce devoted fans everywhere.

Toolroom Records favourite and many pundits ‘One to Watch’ for 2009, Kim Fai serves us up a far more techy number. Keeping the Natay main riff, and adding to it crisp percussion and a rolling bassline, give this track a more underground feel, while still keeping the essence of the original. His astounding debut album on Toolroom and recent tracks on Steve Angello’s mighty Size label, Lojak’s BDR Music, show Kim is living up to the future hero tag!

Next up is a treat from Control Freq stable mate Rudi Stakker AKA Will Bailey, presenting us with a deeper tip to Natay. Rudi smacks it home with a melodic techno take on the track. Only using small stabs from the original riff, this remix starts off more stripped back and just builds and builds in the middle growing into a huge growling techno bomb!
Gaining support from the likes of industry heavyweights Meat Katie and James Zabiela, this year is the year to watch the whirlwind that is Rudi, proving that once again Control Freq is at the forefront of the freshest talent around.

► PRESS RELEASE:

“Neon Lights - the latest knockout EP, fresh from the studio on renowned label Control Freq.”

This is the first release on Control Freq for someone literally destined for big things - Kid Massive. Keeping us in check with his usual wicked style, Neon Lights offers up the crowds Kid Massive’s signature driving but sexy house, guaranteed to get everyone up and onto the dancefloor.

Raised on the sounds of the late 80s electronic scene, Kid Massive dived in head first to his musical career, acquiring and creating his own unique sound with influences from the genre, building with ease a massive fan base wherever he played. With support gained from huge industry players such as Fedde Le Grand, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Steve Lawler to name just a few, the proof is right there that this kid is someone to take notice of - for the few of you who might have missed him already.

After releasing a multitude of his own tracks on institutional labels such as Stealth Records, Ministry of Sound and Seamless Recordings, Kid Massive took the bull by the horns and set up not one but two labels of his own - Audiodamage and tech label, Just Deep Music. With a work ethic to rival most sweatshops, he manages to fit in work for both labels around his grueling gig schedule, playing sets in as far flung locations as Miami, Serbia, Australia, Bangkok and Ecuador. He also does this on top of running his own hugely popular Audiodamage label nights year round in London and throughout the season in Ibiza.

As always Filthy Rich - head honcho at Control Freq - is on the ball and the first to pounce onto a hot tasty little number of a track - and Neon Lights lives up to exactly this. First up on the EP is “I Know You Want 2” with a dark driving hypnotic beat which is quite literally aural sex, dragging in the throng for more until they’re begging for mercy. Next up is the still sexy but utterly edgy Neon Lights - an old firm favourite with Kid Massive, offering immense appeal, striking it home with everyone from the tech-heads to the dirty electro kids. Both tracks signify the beginning of the long glamorous sex-fueled big summer nights out we’ve all been waiting for.

We are extremely proud and excited to present the 11th release on Control Freq Records.

This is the hotly tipped remix package of label head honcho Filthy Rich's 'Dirty Freak 2009', which itself has been featuring high in charts on both Beatport & DJdownload.

The first comes from the Holland based Jorgensen. He grew up with dance in the early 90s - obviously a positive sign of influences to come. Renowned for creating chaos on the dancefloor and pushing parties to breaking point with his legendary sets, Jorgensen’s electro sharp edge and killer bass will set “Dirty Freak 2009” on fire.

Next up we have DJ/Producer duo Dirty Secretz to thank for another stomper of a slant on “Dirty Freak 2009” exceeding expectations and delivering exactly what they promise. Their complimentary styles effortlessly drop in fresh beats, adding their own cheeky twist to “Dirty Freak 2009,” undoubtedly appealing to crowds everywhere.

Last but by no means least we have Liam Vizzle’s remix - Venga Digital’s very own boy wonder. Fresh from bootlegging everyone he can get his hands on from Bassment Jaxx to Justice via Mauro Picotto, Liam uses his influences which are as far ranging as The Crookers and the legendary Stevie Wonder to whip up his unique edgy sound. On “Dirty Freak 2009” he injects his usual dose of fun, making the track more jackin’ than ever.

Next up from the house of Filth is a cheeky little number that was signed instantly to Control Freq. Dirty Secretz are finally offering us up their monster anthem 'Drop Tha Beat', just in time to smash it out at the Miami Winter Music Conference. This elec-tro-tinged track is an immaculate piece of production, sure to connect with crowds everywhere.

The duo have gone from strength to strength, gaining popularity as they rise above the masses, with their unique fresh sound and unrivaled hot talent. Their passion is evident in their work, with their strengths and styles complimenting each other to perfection. Their live sets are something of an event, with few DJs genuinely able to provoke such a reaction on the dancefloor.

Securing a hectic gig schedule all over the Midlands, the demand on live sets from the pair will go through the roof once 'Drop Tha Beat' hits the clubs. Always bang-ing out an unmissable night - catch them while you can at their infamous night in Leicester at Helsinki's.

First up on remix duty is label head-honcho and future hero, Filthy Rich himself. Never afraid to do something different and refusing to limit himself, Rich puts his own filthy stamp on 'Drop Tha Beat', coming with a more heads down approach in his new 'tekky' direction. The genius behind his work is that whilst never going out of his way to be credible, Rich always effortlessly achieves just this at everything he turns his hand to. Witness the wonder that is Filthy Rich at upcoming gigs at Ministry of Sound, UK House Mafia at Koko and his residency Kiss Da Funk throughout the year.

Next up is none other than James Fitch, a legend close to the heart of Control Freq. His exciting style provides some 'dutch' flavour with his shuffled beats and trademark groove; add to this his forward-thinking and technical genius and the results are more energetic than ever. See the raw talent that is James Fitch at one stop on his grueling tour as one half of Prok & Fitch across Brighton, Russia, Belfast, Amsterdam and even Miami.
